I love the mountains and stars. Sunsets and sunrises and all the beautiful colors across the sky. Visiting my in-law's farm gives me some of my favorite things about nature. Sure, I could do without the dust and the long distance from cities, but I'll gladly take what I can get. And in case anyone was wonder, I think I won the jackpot for in-laws. I never truly felt a part of a family until I joined my husband's.
I did not have a tripod. I sat on the porch swing to take these pictures. Start to finish was about twenty minutes.
The start of sunset around the farm.
Sunset pictures from the back porch. Technically, the sun was over the horizon for these pictures. As we were near mountains I do not know the true moment of sunset for this day.
After this last shot the sky was dark. What you see here is the very last of the oranges and reds from the sun setting.
One cool thing I learned once the sky was dark was that I could use the digital zoom on my camera and focus on Jupiter; it looked like a light colored rock in the sky. I couldn't take a picture, as it wouldn't stay focused, but was able to show a few family members.
