Flandrau Science Center

We drove up into Tucson yesterday, 25 Nov, to visit the Flandrau Science Center and spend some time with Hubby's younger sister before driving back down to the farm.

Various displays in the Flandrau Science Center -
 Mars and Asteroids displays

It's a Gas!

 Gemstones from Afghanistan & Pakistan

The kids enjoyed the Mineral Museum, especially the display with their birthstones.

Later that evening Hubby and I went back to the science center to check out the public telescope.  We were able to view Jupiter through the 16 inch telescope.  We could see the light and dark band of the planet and three of it's moons.  It was amazing.
