Holiday Road Trip, Part 4

Heading Home:

After leaving Thanksgiving Point and the Pizza Pie Cafe, we drove down to St. George.  On the evening after Thanksgiving, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints turns on all the Christmas lights they've hung at the various places to visit, e.g., temple grounds, visitor centers, church buildings, historical sites, etc.  During our visit to the St. George Temple grounds and Visitor's Center we had the opportunity to see all the lights and the nativity scene.  It was beautiful; as I'm sure all the Church displays are.

We tried to take other pictures to show the light displays, but they didn't turn out.  This is the view from our parking space:
Nativity scenes from around the world:
The St. George Temple holds a special place in our hearts as this is where we were sealed as a family when Munchkin was a baby.  We were sealed in early January and they still had the Nativity scene up with lights on in the evening.  I love the Christmas season.
The large Nativity Scene on temple grounds.

We had planned to stay overnight in a hotel, somewhere outside of Las Vegas.  Let's just say that didn't happen.  Don't believe large marquee signs that say "Rooms Available".  The drive from St. George is supposed to only take 7hrs, it took us 12.

Glad to be home (well, mostly):
