Holiday Road Trip, Part 3

Part 1, Part 2

Meeting a Friend [and museum visit]:

Cloud bank over the reservoir near Park City UT.

We met a family that I know through a message board, Friends and Families.  I've posted on that site since summer 2003.  Many of the women I met [online] while pregnant with Munchkin; we started on another website/message board and moved when our babies were about a year old.  This was the first time I met someone I knew only though an online source.

LAB's family are also members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  They have four children and we have several things in common, e.g. we use cloth diapers, napkins, our views on breastfeeding and the like.  It was really neat meeting the whole family in person.  LAB's family has a Family Pass for Thanksgiving Point and that allowed us to get day passes at half price.

Everyone enjoyed the museum.  It was very family friendly and I suggest it to anyone traveling through (or living in) the Salt Lake area.

After visiting the museum we drove down the road to the Pizza Pie Cafe.  They had very reasonable prices and good food too.  They even made a special cheese-free pizza for me :)  The restaurant has a salad bar, pizza buffet, and choose your own pasta and sauce combo bar.  My favorite sauce was the Roasted [red] Bell Pepper.  Yum!  I hope they open more locations (they're based out of ID and only two non-ID locations).  I was thankful my whole family enjoyed the day and ate well.  After a few more pictures, we were back on the road.
