I feel like I've had a few times in my life where I've pretty much just fallen off the map. I guess some of that is expected, but leaving behind friends is always hard. I didn't finish high school the normal way, for those of you who don't know, I went to night school for my last class during the last semester and worked full time. Of coarse that's not the only thing out of the ordinary about my life or growing up. But this isn't a journal, so I'll leave the details to that. The other major time of leaving or things changing unexpectedly was when my family and I moved to Arizona. We had tried so hard to keep things going and stay in Fort Wayne, but that just wasn't much of an option any more, so we left to be closer to extended family and try to get on our feet.
Hubby & I met on 19 July 2000 thanks to his best friend Jared (who had helped me move into my first apartment not long before hand). We got engaged shortly after Labor Day (it was a Thursday, but I'm unsure on the date). I took the discussions and was baptized 4 Feb 2001. We married 17 February 2001. We have two children, our oldest was born in 2002 and our youngest in 2005. Some day we hope to have more. We were sealed in the St. George Temple 2 January 2003.
I worked before our oldest was born, was a stay at home mom until our youngest was almost 1, then worked some more, then joined the Navy in late 2006. So here I am, I work full time at a job that provides the stability and benefits that our family never had consistently prior. With my current position I have weekends off and am home every night, minus my duty days, but they are only a few times a month. Its great.
My dear husband has always been a hard worker and provider. He's worked full time and more for most of our marriage, but sometimes things happen and the pay is not enough or the company is outsourced or whatever. He has enjoyed being a stay at home dad while I was in boot camp and some beyond. He mostly works part-time now. With our oldest in school, and our schedules mostly opposing it's not been bad, and now with his new position, our youngest will be with a sitter only two days a week. Its regretful, but I am grateful that we have a few wonderful sisters in our ward that provide a good home environment and a playmate during those times
I hope everyone is doing well. Here is the most recent family pic I have on this computer. Its from Christmas 2007.
