First Birthday

Pumpkin celebrated his first birthday in late August.
What do you get for your third child's first birthday?  What if you keep all the decent clothes and toys from your first two children as hand-me-downs?  Stuck with this dilema, we thought a small ball pit would be a fun idea.  Here we are checking to make sure we bought enough balls for the 'ball pit.'  We actually set it up in the back of the van prior to leaving the store.  I had to go back in and buy a 4th 100 ct bag of balls.  The pool was on clearance, and the balls were the best price we could find, including online.  Pumpkin loved it.
Good morning, Birthday Boy!

Eating birthday brunch.

For dinner we had a 'mini' meal [we did this for our older children as well].
For Pumpkin's special day we enjoyed mini hamburgers.

On to the cake.  Or should I say cupcakes?
[Again, family tradition for first birthdays.  Yes, there were mini cupcakes as well.]

Yum. [These cupcakes and frosting were made entirely egg and dairy free.  As you may remember, Pumpkin has some food sensitivities.  The cupcakes were quite tasty.]

All cleaned up.

Time for presents.

Thank you to the Howard family for joining us and fort the Thomas gift set.

Happy Birthday, Pumpkin!

We love you so much.  We feel very blessed that you joined our family and that we get to see you grow and learn everyday.

Love, Momma & Daddy
