" . . . patience was far more than simply waiting for something to happen—patience required actively working toward worthwhile goals and not getting discouraged when results didn’t appear instantly or without effort.
There is an important concept here: patience is not passive resignation, nor is it failing to act because of our fears. Patience means active waiting and enduring. It means staying with something and doing all that we can—working, hoping, and exercising faith; bearing hardship with fortitude, even when the desires of our hearts are delayed. Patience is not simply enduring; it is enduring well!"

Excellent quote.
With all your updates I'm just going to comment on one...sorry. First the info you got about your family...it must have been hard to do what you did but you needed that info. I'm glad you got it and are so willing to help your kids out, I see so many parnets that will just let the schools try to deal with it. Second, the follow up on the baptism. I love all the great gifts he got and hope I can learn from your example. We do already plan on getting the first set of scriptures like you did. Of course when Rachele learned to read last year we got here a set of the ones missionaries hand out so she can learn to take care of them. And last...the quote. I love it!!! I love qoutes from Pres. Ucthdorf!!
