Gas Leak

There was a gas leak at our house yesterday morning. Thank goodness no one was home. I had to stop at the house to get something for work and smelled it (around 820am).

The maintenance company checked all the pipes and connections in the house and said it was clear. Nearly all of the gas smell was gone (around 10am).

They checked outside by the meter and they think there may be a small leak near the ground. They are shutting off the meters to the building and calling in the gas company now (around 12pm).

The gas company finally came out and they've been doing some testing. Down the whole block you can smell gas. They are going to replace the regulator. Not sure what else is going on.... (around 3pm)

They finally fixed everything last night (around 5pm). Whew!

The gas company was out doing more checks in the neighborhood this morning. I saw the maintenance crew also checking other neighbor's houses. (all morning)
